Rainbow Decks / Re: [v1.26] The Neutralizer (FG-Rainbow)
« on: January 16, 2011, 12:56:08 am »
This is what I use now. I use more creatures, because against some gods, I just did not manage to output enough damage before I deck out.
I just threw in an eternity to solve that problem.

First use the eternity on one of the opponents creatures with low/none quanta cost, then use your mind gate to retrieve it. Now it's in your hand and you can play and rewind it on every turn.

Especially useful on gods that have bone wall that will stall you forever if your only damage comes from a lonely lava destroyer. It will fail on FG's with strong perm. control, since they will destroy the eternity/gate before you say cheese. But those gods are hard with this deck anyway.

So here's what I'm using.

Just curious: how do you count all this without making it slow you down?

Just counting turns already causes a little distraction and probably some occasional error already, so I can't imagine what counting clicks does to your attention.  Or do you have some kind of program/tool/humble servant  to do the counting for you?

Divine Glory / Re: Divine Glory what's wrong with this guy?
« on: August 25, 2010, 02:00:13 am »
Since this thread is resulting in some useful info on beating FG's I'd like to bring on the question: Dark Matter, what's wrong with that guy  ???
Is there any deck where's he's not one of the tough gods?

[ Btw, it's obvious that Divine Glory isn't a 'guy' but some female being. First of all, it's very annoying and secondly parents calling their child "glory" either have a daughter or are trying to get their son mobbed at school ]

Anyway, here are my results, just for your information.
44% win rate, corrected for all gods being just as likely.

God name W L EM C W%
Chaos Lord 2 2 1 0 50
Dark Matter 0 7 0 0 0
Decay 1 2 1 1 33
Destiny 1 2 0 1 33
Divine Glory 2 3 0 1 40
Dream Catcher 1 5 0 0 17
Elidnis 3 3 0 2 50
Eternal Phoenix 0 2 0 0 0
Ferox 5 1 2 3 83
Fire Queen 5 0 1 2 100
Gemini 0 2 0 0 0
Graviton 2 4 0 0 33
Hermes 0 2 0 0 0
Incarnate 3 0 1 2 100
Miracle 1 2 0 0 33
Morte 4 1 0 3 80
Neptune 3 0 2 1 100
Obliterator 1 5 0 1 17
Octane 1 1 0 0 50
Osiris 1 0 0 1 100
Paradox 4 4 0 1 50
Rainbow 0 2 0 0 0
Scorpio 3 3 1 1 50
Seism 1 3 1 0 25
TOTAL:   100 44 56 10 20 44
(C columns = cards won)
Not really 60% but still quite decent I think  :) Maybe I need a bit more practice as well.

[edit] This is the original deck, I'll try out some variations next [/edit]

Random, Normal and Elder / Re: Gold gaining methods?

Sometimes it really pays of to farm T50 instead of AI3 for a while, as you'll get tons of rare cards that you can sell. If you keep notes of what opponents you can defeat and what opponents you should skip then you can easily collect a lot of electra by winning battles and selling (rare) cards.

Below is the deck I use for T50 and AI3, found it somewhere on the forum or wiki but I can't remember where exactly  :)
It's a great rush-deck. I upped it partially but it works fine without the upgrades, you'll just have to skip some of the more annoying opponents. The arsenic is great for this deck but a normal weapon will do just as fine.

Would someone post some statistics on this deck in v1.25 so I can compare with mine?

So far i've done only 24 games, I'll post some details if I hit 100. But as of yet it doesn't look like I'll get anywhere near 50% wins :-[ I'm still getting used to the deck though.

In my experience it's a great deck vs some gods but you don't stand a chance against others.

I skip the battle unless it's one of Chaos Lord, Decay, Destiny, Elidnis, Ferox, Fire Queen, Gemini, Incarnate, Miracle, Neptune & Paradox.
I've beaten some of the others, but only with a ton of luck. (Eg, Eternal Phoenix setting up her first pillar at turn 6)

General Discussion / Re: Frustration
« on: August 22, 2010, 12:08:06 pm »
I've been collecting some statistics about this.

Grinding AI3 gives me approx 1k + another 500 for selling non-rare cards over 50 games, that's 30 / game on average. Out of my last 100 games vs False gods I won 27 (10 with EM) and got 11 cards (worth 1200). That means an income of approx 17*50+10*120+11*1200-73*30 = 13060, that's 130 / game on average.

I think that's quite comparable.

Game Suggestions and Feedback / Re: Include Mark in import/export codes

There's nothing like going into T50 with a Lava Golem rush and a Time mark, eh? -.-
haha  :))
I just had a very similar experience, which made me stumble upon this topic.

It sure sounds like an improvement with a rather high "decrease in frustration"/"difficulty to program" ratio!

Have you actually been keeping statistics over quite a few games to confirm that 30% win rate?

Because your win rate may seem higher than it actually is. Also results may be incorrect because you faced the same god multiple times and didn't take that into account.

Here's a write-up of a typical game vs Hermes

[100-200]
4 x quantum pillar, empathic bond, Hourglass, sundial
(Me) using pillars
(H) using 3 fire towers

[100-200]
empathic bond, hourglass, sundial, Qpillar
(Me) using pillar
(H) add 3 more burning towers

[100-200]
2 x Sundial, Hourglass, Empathic bond
(Me) Doing nothing. (Saving sundial until there's damage on table)
(H) Launching Fire Spectre (2|3)

[98-200]
Empathic bond, Hourglass, 2 x sundial, graveyard
(Me) put up hourglass
(H) ablaze fire spectre, put up another one

[92-200]
EB, 2 x Sundial, Graveyard, Qpillar, Otyugh
(Me) put up pillar, saving otyugh until quint arrives
(H) add towers, ablaze spectres

[82-200]
EB, 2 x Sundial, Graveyard, Otyugh, quint, sundial
(Me) Put up quinted otyugh, saving other cards
(H) triple Fire lance , burning tower

[32-200]
EB, 2 x sundial, graveyard, sundial, Rain of Fire, quint
(Me) Swallowing biggest spectre, put up graveyard, emphatic bond
(H) Destroys emphatic bond, hourglass, adds another fire lance

[13-200]
3 x sundial, Rain of Fire, quint, druid
(Me) swallow second spectre, Hermes has no creatures left
(H) Rage elixir kills my skeleton

[13-200]
3 x sundial, RoF, quint, druid, pillar
(Me) put up pillar
(H) fire lance. I loose.

Maybe I should have used the sundials sooner, saving more hp to endure the fire lances. Easy to say in retrospect, but he could have been hitting me with 3 crimson dragons the moment I ran out of sundials just as well.
[edit]

I've changed my play-style during the first few turns, from "trying not to get killed" to "try to draw as many cards as possible" and upgraded quite a few cards. Then I did another 100 battles and won 27 (24% if corrected to give all gods equal weight). Better than 17 but still not "at least 30%".

Deck Help / Re: Malignant cell + emphatic bond

ps, just caught this, its emPATHETic bond, not emPHATic bond... it was bugging me
I love the red glow, but to me the card still says 'empathic'? Seems like both are acceptable English words so I guess it doesn't matter that much  :)

The scorpion-thing might just work, or anything that can pack some damage, maybe I'll these ideas a shot when the trainer is upgraded to the latest version (or whatever).

Hi, here are some questions about this deck and topic

1 I've only been playing this game for about a week now; I know there are some cards that were added only very recently (like the pendula). Is it correct to state that this deck wasn't designed to take advantage of these cards yet?  (I'm not sure if it would change anything anyway.)

2 And what's a decent winning-% with this deck?
I achieve 18 % (20 wins in 115 games and counting), with gods often beating me to pulp before I even blink my eyes, even though they seem 'possible' with a bit luck next to a few gods that are possible without any bad luck (eg incarnate).

Details:
God   win-loss ( EM , cards won)
Chaos Lord 1-3  (1,0)
Dark Matter 0-3  (0,0)
Decay 1-1  (0,0)
Destiny 1-0  (0,1)
Divine Glory 0-4  (0,0)
Dream Catcher 0-4  (0,0)
Elidnis 0-10  (0,0)
Eternal Phoenix 1-4  (1,1)
Ferox 0-2  (0,0)
Fire Queen 2-5  (2,1)
Gemini 1-4  (1,0)
Graviton 0-8  (0,0)
Hermes 0-1  (0,0)
Incarnate 6-2  (5,3)
Miracle 0-3  (0,0)
Morte 0-3  (0,0)
Neptune 4-1  (4,1)
Obliterator 0-9  (0,0)
Octane 0-6  (0,0)
Osiris 0-3  (0,0)
Paradox 3-4  (2,1)
Rainbow 0-5  (0,0)
Scorpio 0-5  (0,0)
Seism 0-5 (0,0)
Total: 20-95 (16,8)
20 wins and 8 cards out of 115 games ...

3 This topic is full of slight and more serious adaptations of the original deck; has anyone taken the effort of compiling a list and rigorously testing them in say 100 games or something?
Or maybe it's considered 'not worth the effort', this deck being some transient phase in order to obtain a fully upped deck?

Tnx  :)
